Sir Ken Robinson's Changing Education Paradigms is a thought provoking piece that should be seen by educators and parents. The map of prescriptions for ADHD is particularly fascinating.
How do you get elementary school students college and career ready? Students and families need to understand the road map to higher education and careers. Through exploration and setting high expectations students CAN achieve their goals. On the elementary level there are a number of age appropriate activities students can engage in to get them thinking about college and/or their future careers.

This 1923 contract was posted on Ohio Education Association’s Facebook page. It outlines all the guidelines a female teacher must follow to keep her job. I'm sure I've broken every single rule at one time or another. How about you?
Thinking: Spring CANNOT get here fast enough. I'm done with the snow.
Wanting: Our snow blower broke and the repair shop picked it up two weeks ago. When they returned it, it would not go in reverse! Now it's back in the shop. Thank goodness my kind neighbor took care of the plowing this evening.
Needing: I'm not prepared for the week because I avoided going shopping today due to the snow.
Spring Break Plans: I started a website thechalkofnyc.com but I was unsure of what my niche would be. I have discovered that I love to collect/PIN/share free resources. During the break I'm going to revamp the website.
